How does it work?

Unique patented ‘e-tag’ inside the ball is detected by nearby minimaxX devices. Since minimaxX tracks the players with precision, and the ball near the players nearly all the time, we are able to compute the position of the ball. SmartBall can differentiate between who has possession and who is near the ball or contesting possession

• Count possessions/disposals per player
• Quantify how often you are contesting possession
• See where you are getting the ball – on the field and in time
• Measure what players are winning the ball in congested play
• Visualise possession strings:
  • Who got it
  • Where they led from to receive the ball
  • Metres forward gained
  • Characterise passes as long, short, side, backwards and forwards

• Link physical efforts with successful possessions – how effective were my leads as a striker/full forward?
• Quantify long kicking load in training
• Measure high intensity efforts needed for typical possessions: metres led, velocity at possession, velocity at disposal
